SONOMA, CA – July 5, 2017 – As usual, the busiest airport this July 4th holiday weekend was the world’s busiest airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Preliminary reports from TROFIE's 21 retail partner newsstands in ATL are that overall sales were strong. And not surprising, LAX was right behind in passenger traffic.
Despite the heavy fog in San Francisco, visitors were not deterred. Andy Perham at Compass SFO said, “We had a great holiday weekend. The Friday-Sunday sales (30th to 2nd) were up 20% for T3 (United Terminal) and 12% for T2 (America, Virgin) over a typical Friday-Sunday in the summer.” Trofie is gearing up for the August opening of Marshall Retail Group’s new 5,200 square foot District Market, featuring unique and branded departments for fashion, news, electronics, and locally-made gifts and on-the-go food selections.
